Appeals Court Clerk
After graduating from Boston College Law School, Attorney Core served as law clerk in the Massachusetts Appeals Court for Justice Kent Smith, and Justice Scott Kafker, who now sits on the Supreme Judicial Court. While at the Appeals Court, Attorney Core developed strong research and writing skills and substantial relationships with the court staff and attorneys, which she uses to benefit her clients today.
Commercial Litigation
From 2005 until 2007, Attorney Core worked as a litigator for two years at the large law firm of DLA Piper, in downtown Boston. She learned how to be an aggressive advocate who uses rules, law and facts to her client's advantage. Though her clients included multi-national corporations and government entities, she brings the skills she learned at DLA Piper to court with her today.
Assistant District Attorney
Attorney Core spent six invaluable years from 2007 until 2013 prosecuting a wide variety of crimes as an Assistant District Attorney in the district and superior courts of Essex County. As the supervisor of the busy Lynn District Court, she worked closely with investigators, police officers, witness advocates, probation officers, court clinicians and expert witnesses from the day a case was arraigned until it was resolved. She visited crime scenes, interviewed witnesses and victims, and became and expert on the particular issues that each case involved. Attorney Core relies on those relationships and skills to serve her clients today.
